Having been a former Verizon user myself and now AT&T, I can say I definitely agree with Marco Arment for the most part. I left Verizon because they wouldn’t let me transfer photos off my phone to my computer without first putting them up on a Verizon website and charging me for the bandwidth.
However, I think the argument is not about which is better, AT&T or Verizon. It’s about AT&T AND Verizon, together, competing on the same platform: the iPhone. In that scenario, they are fighting each other for customers instead of fighting customers.
Competition between companies is good for customers and having the iPhone from both enables that.
